Over a fortnight following the shocking loss of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt prepared to share openly about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has passed that I can at last put my grief into words," posted Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began sharing more moments together I understood this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, remarking that he doesn't recollect "a single day without mirth".

"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob held dear. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a distinct essay, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the protagonist.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles court official decided to bar the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive placed a security hold on the cases to restrict the public release of "all case details, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a record citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, making divisive remarks that were met with immediate backlash by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the detractors recently. Speaking on his show, Rogan characterized the comments as "shocking" and suggested they revealed a worrisome absence of compassion.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an aide could have stepped in when the decision to weigh in on the death was made.
