On Monday, the court learned communication data and information obtained from phones documented Ms Wandelt persistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a genetic test over the past two years.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - at the age of three during a family holiday in Portugal - is considered the most widely reported missing child cases and remains unresolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

A separate phone message, played in court, documented Ms Wandelt stating: "I realize I'm overweight and plain like Madeleine had been, but I feel what I feel."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's recording stated: "Suppose there is a slight possibility that I am she? What then? Is that not important for you?"

"I don't want money, I possess a life here in Poland, I only wish to discover," she added.

The panel was told that through emails, mobile messages and communications, Ms Wandelt asked for a genetic test, forwarded childhood photos to her phone in a bid to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and claimed to have "flashbacks" from a youth with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, an intelligence analyst with Leicestershire Police who collated the evidence, informed the court there "seemed to lack any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt additionally reached out to family friends of the McCanns, according to the phone records.

On October 9th, 2024, the father responded to a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "a wrong number."

That day Ms Wandelt recorded a voicemail on Mrs McCann's voicemail declaring "I will continue and I will prove my point."

The court learned Mrs Spragg developed a association online with Ms Wandelt before accompanying her on a trip to the McCanns' property in Leicestershire in last December.

Call logs demonstrated Mrs Spragg had reached out using WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to say the press had depicted Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she ought to be taken seriously in the months before the appearance to that location, that area, in last December.

The court heard communications between the two individuals, in November 2024, considering attempting to obtain Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her garbage or from utensils at a dining venue.

"We need to take action," Mrs Spragg advised Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the appearance to their house, Mrs Spragg transmitted a communication which said: "We find ourselves sitting adjacent to the McCanns' house with our lights out similar to investigators. I wanted to accomplish this with someone else I didn't imagine I would be doing that with the McCanns."

The trial ongoing.
