FC Barcelona to Host First Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

Barça revealed their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in La Liga 30 months following their departure for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. When completed, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Preparatory Events

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch on 7 November. The club said they were hoping for permission by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
