Close to 90 Flights Linked to Epstein Allegedly Arrived at or Departed from British Airfields
Analysis has identified that close to 90 aircraft journeys associated to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein allegedly arrived at and departed from UK airfields, with some allegedly carrying British women who assert they were abused by the convicted sex offender.
Aviation Records Uncover Trail of Travel
These aviation records were among a trove of legal papers and files released by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been made public over the past year. The analysis uncovered 87 flights linked to Epstein – featuring many that were previously unknown – coming into or leaving from UK airports between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and After Guilty Verdict Flights
Unidentified women were recorded among the passengers flying to and from the UK. Notably, 15 of these British airport journeys happened following Epstein’s 2008 guilty verdict for procuring prostitution from a underage person.
“It was ‘shocking’ that there had never been a ‘full-scale UK investigation’ into his operations in the country,” remarked US lawyers representing numerous Epstein victims.
UK Survivors and Court Cases
A statement from one of the UK-based survivors aided the conviction of Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. But, that individual has not been approached by UK authorities, according to her Florida-based lawyer.
In a response, the Metropolitan police stated they had “not been provided with any additional information that would support reopening the probe.” They added, “Should new and relevant evidence be brought to our attention, including any resulting from the release of documents in the US, we will assess it.”
Ongoing Document Release and Legal Rulings
Proposed legislation to disclose all files held by the US government in concerning Epstein passed the US Congress last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to follow through. A vast number of files are anticipated to be released.
Additionally, a federal judge ordered last week that the department could make public investigative materials from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s close friend, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence over the allegations.
